Summary: Neuro Nōgami is a demon detective from Hell. He eats mysteries and has 777 Tools of the Demon World. He tells Yako Kasuragi, a high school girl, that he will solve the mystery of her father's murder. She becomes a detective with Neuro as her "assistant," but Neuro's actually the one solving the mysteries. (Yako is learning.) He calls Yako "servant number one" and his other recruitant, Shinobu Godai, "servant number two." Also, Yako loves to eat. There's Akane the corpse in their office wall, shown as a braid of hair, portable for short periods of time outside the office. Plus there's the inspecters Eishi Sasazuka, Jun Ishigaki, and Yūya Higuchi.
